  
TO PREPARE - First, please sort through to remove any possible foreign matter. Use one part soup mix and eight parts water, vegetable broth, or chicken stock. Bring to a boil. Then cover and simmer for 45-60 minutes. Add water as necessary. For a side dish, remove the lid, and cook longer. To season, try basil, garlic, bay leaves, salt & pepper. You may wish to add tomato puree, chicken stock, condensed mushroom soup, diced beef, chicken, or ham. For a thicker soup, add a white cream sauce.
FREEZES WELL - Soup may be frozen and reheated.
YIELD - One cup of dry soup mix weighs almost 1/3 lb and makes about 8 cups of soup when hydrated.
STORAGE – Best if used within 18 months. Store in a sealed, dry location away from sunlight.
INGREDIENTS - Minnesota grown Wild Rice, Barley, Yellow Peas, Green Peas, and the following Dehydrated Vegetables: Onions, carrots, whole kernel sweet corn, celery, green beans, leeks, green bell peppers, and red bell peppers.
