Ajvar makes a great instant pasta sauce. It is made from sweet red peppers, eggplant and garlic. It adds alot of flavor to rice and I've heard of it being used to flavor almost anything savory. My favorite use for the Hot Ajvar is to make a very simple hummus recipe. I just put a can of Edens Organic Garbanzo beans in the food processor and add some Hot Ajvar. Skip the tahini and lemon juice. It's very tasty and travels well as a raw veggie dip for an easy and nutritious meal to take to work or on the road.
